Personally, I feel like I’ve been scammed! I mean if every time I go to buy something and talk to a representative, they’re playing all these mind tricks on me, trying to get me to buy whatever it is, I think I've been tricked into buying the product. Whatever happened to the good old selling to help the customer out? (and gain a little money for yourself)
Thats kinda weird, because now that I think about it, the salesmen that I occasionaly talk to do the same thing...is this new research for good or for bad? Maybe people could use this to their advantage...you would have to really keep your eyes open.
I deffinitely think this research is interesting, but I agree with Taylor that sales representatives are supposed to just be there when we need help with some things. I think now that many salespeople are being paid on comission definitely has something to do with them just wanting you to buy the product.
That's really interesting... We did this in POA; we had to imitate a person's body language and facial expressions as they told us about their favorite whatever. It's all true! You really do feel more comfortable and kind to the person if they are imitating you [subtley of course, otherwise it's mockery!]. And kudos to the salesmen and con artists that have already figured this out! ...just don't come to my door, I might fall for it. =]

Good point Taylor! We have to be on our guard indeed!
