Welcome to the Weekend

This is a great track from Joy Division. Ian Curtis (lead singer) had a crazy way of dancing! Enjoy!

Caro,

John Vanderslice and Vampire Weekend were incredible. Plus, there was less semi-drunk people than at Wolf Parade. I'm sending you pictures via email- a link to my google web album.

Also: I believe Built to Spill played last night at the Wonder Ballroom as part of Music Fest NW as well.

Oh, and about Joy Division..there is a band called The Wombats and they have a song called, 'Let's Dance to Joy Division.'

Quite good- part of my stock of immature rock/pop/indie music. Once and a while you have to have those.

AAAHHHH!!! I missed Built to Spill!!!!?

The Wombats are crazy.

I am glad you were not too disturbed by the drunks. They are a serious threat at Built to Spill shows. I have had to break up fights at a few!

There were um, strange people at the show let's just say. Not really drunk-the drinkers had their own section I guess.

Yeah, you did. Sorry, hate to be the one to tell you that.

You had to break up fights?! Whoa

Oh yes, on multiple occasions.

Well I am going to try and catch Asobi Seksu's show this fall.

I have not heard of Asobi Seksu. What kind of music?

Hmm, the "rowdiest" gig I have ever been to would probably be Arctic Monkeys (this makes me sound like a wimp). Only because people don't have to get drunk to go crazy at Arctic Monkeys concerts. It just happens. At Snow Patrol/OK Go/Silversun Pickups there was a drunk guy looking so out of it right next to me and some annoying chick who smelled and was really rude behind me. cool.

erm.. and the reading is quite complex

Asobi Seksu reminds me a little of My Bloody Valentine (another excellent band).

Concerts can be rough. I think I am going to try and get to them earlier to secure better locations.

Yes!!! The reading is complex! Let me know if you have any questions. I hope you enjoy it! It is a classic for sure.
