Great question! "et al" is latin for and others. It is a short way of saying that there are other authors involved in the study.

CARO! I need your opinion. I've already been accepted to OSU and everything, and I chose my major as history, but I might want to go into pyschology instead...the thing is, I want to teach, and it doesn't seem like there would be as many jobs for psychology teachers as there would be history/social studies teachers...but I really enjoy psychology, I almost signed up for IB psych again since there wasn't going to be an IB pysch 2...so I don't really know what to do.

It is great to hear from you! I hope senior year is going well!
That is really cool you want to teach! Regarding teaching psychology, I suggest you double major: psychology and history. OR get your degree in Psychology and take enough social studies (history - US and World, geography, econ, political science) to get your social studies endorsement (that just means you have enough course work to be able to teach). It is more difficult to find, but you will find a social studies teaching position that offers psychology. They are growing more common at the high school level.

The HW for tonight is to read the essay in the TEXTBOOK that evaluates the learning perspective's contributions. It comes at the end of the chapter. I think pages 252-257? I don't have the book with me...
